Increase in Insulin dose

Hello everyone,

I need to check with you guys whether anyone else has experienced an increase in insulin dosage over time ? Is it normal ?

I am a type 1 on humalog and lantus.

Hi @Ansari ,

Welcome to the forums.

Not sure what your reference time frame is?

An increase over time ( be it weeks, months or a year) is not abnormal and fits the standard model of ones pancreas shutting down gradually until it no longer produces any insulin itself.
 
Hi. Yes, mine has increased over the 3 years since starting insulin and I put that down to the continued demise of my islet cells (not honeymoon)
