Hello
Is there anyone who could provide me with some info on pregnancy and diabeties, i already have one child and when i fell pregnant with him i couldnt stop having hypo's but i think i am pregnant again but im the opposit this time i cant keep my sugars down, im around 6 weeks gone if i am, im just confused really as i thought that i would have the same problem with my sugars this time round aswell.
I no they say all pregnanciesare different but i didn't think that would be the same with the diabeties side of things this is also making me doubt that i really am pregnant even though i have had three positive tests.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum. The member you want to talk to is Wiflib. She is a midwife and also diabetic and can give you general advice.

hya and welcome,
you need to see your gp and find out if u are pregnant, then they should give u the specialised help u need :D

thank you i no i need to go see the gp i just wanted to see if i could get some advice via here but unfortuntly im not having much luck! Sometimes i find the gp a little annoying as they dont really know alot to with this situation.
I have had another positive test today meaning two in the past five days so im asuming that i am pregnant - again i just dont understand the situation with my blood sugars

Have a look at this link. It should answer ALL your questions. If not come back and ask again.

I took a look at the link provided but unfortunately this is for mothers who develop diabetes while pregnant! I am already diabetic and have been for 16 years, as i said i have already been through a pregnancy but just need to no why my blood sugars are acting differently than the last time, last time i couldnt stop going hypo where as this time its the opposite, although i have had a few hypos i think this may be to do with me changing my insulin levels around rather than the pregnancy its self. What i really need to no is whether diabetes with each pregnancy is differnet or would you expect the same to happen in all pregnancies.

I must thank everyone who has taken the time to read my post and post answers they are helpfull but not quite there yet,

Many thanks

Think that's Mr's Gila you are referring to - even I in my confused state know that. :?
They do teach us Lizard's a few things you know, even if I do only get to eat three times a year.
Looking for a tasty Cat at the moment.
