Infrared Thermometer

I have been advised to check my foot temperatures and have been using a infrared Thermometer but find if my temp gets to low I can’t get a reading.

Can anyone recommend a infrared Thermometer that works well with low levels of temperatures.

Hi Iain - I can't say I've noticed folks mentioning monitoring the temperature in their feet, although many say they have cold feet (including myself, sometimes).

Are you monitoring for Raynaud's or circulatory issues? No need to answer if you feel that's intrusive; I'm just curious. Were you told to use an IR thermometer, or did it seem like an easy way to measure without putting a thermo between your toes, or whatever.

I am monitoring temperatures as I have Charcot Foot.

Oh gosh. Really rather different to my sometimes chilly tootsies!

I hope your foot is coming along and healing.

(We have an IR thermometer for a another reason and you've tweaked my curiosity now, though! )

Last time I was at the podiatrists, I noticed something that looked a lot like the speed gun used by the police to check people speed and when I asked what it was I was told it was for measuring the temperature differences between someones L&R foot with Charcot foot
I dont know what make it was but it looked something like the gun like ones here
