Inheriting diabetes

Hi I have had diabetes for 30 years now nobody else in my family has it , I have two children in there 20s and I was just wandering what the chances are of them contracting diabetes and because I have diabetes do they stand a higher risk if they eat or drink sugary things I.e full sugar coke and those sort of things ? X

According to my book (Diabetes guide by Walker and Rodgers)
if mother with type1 increased risk - 1-2%
if father type1 - 3-6%
if both parents type1 - 30%

Yeah I am T1 was just wandering if they drink all this stuff and sugary foods does it make it more Likely than if they stay off sugary things ?
