Tell us what pump that you’re talking about so we can understand what a handset is.

Its an Insight pump as mentioned in the post title :)

I have always put my Insight handset through the baggage Xray, done it maybe 30+ times and its not had any issues, same for old Dexcom receivers too.

I've never put my pump through baggage Xray or the walk in scanners.

For the Scanners I always mention my pump and they let me walk around but then use a hand metal detector, they sometimes moan and ask you to remove your pump - only once have I done this where I felt I could trust the security operator to not touch my pump, otherwise its a hand scan.

Walk through metal detectors are also fine for pump too.

The only pumps Im aware off that can go through the walk in Scanners is the patch pump - Omnipod. None of the other pumps have been tested.

Allow plenty of time as I have once been sent of to another room for a hand search too.
