Hi Willie  Hope you're feeling better now:D

These little quotes come from a 12x12 parchment that I bought for 20p at a church spring fayre ( I am going to frame)

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page. St Augustine

Success is a journey, not a destination

In the world through which I travel, I am endlessly creating myself.

Half the fun of travel is the aesthetic of lostness.

Success is a journey.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference.

I agree with you Thundercat.
An excellent sentiment Daisy, one that I've never heard or read by John Lennon.

Very good.

I forgot to mention your post RRB.
Another good post.

You know, I've often said the journey through life is like writing
a book and everyone one of us is the author of our own.

That's a great one Willie,

' In life, where we're going doesn't matter, it's what happens along the way that counts'

Have a great weekend  and take care RRB

There is a crack a crack in everything ... that's how the light gets in.
Leonard Cohen.

That is one pf my all time favourite songs. I was fortunate enough to see him in concert a few years ago

A friends daughter saw him in Manchester.
Her boyfriend took her and she didn't have a clue who the old man was that walked out on stage.
Never heard his name before either she's thinking but then ... this old guy starts singing and her childhood came back to her and her late father who used to play Cohen day and night and she remembered!
She said it was the most spritual thing to have ever happened to her.
She said she was staring at this old man thinking wow theres something very spiritual going on inside him and then in her as her sweetest childhood memories tumbled out.
She described leaving the theatre in tears and confusion and elation.

Machines were mice and men were lions once upon a time. But now that it's the opposite it's twice upon a time.

I've never heard the singer or the song before, jake.
But I tell you, it's one of the most appealing recordings I've heard in a long time.
It richly deserves a place in here.

Thank you,

Leonard Cohen was massive in the sixties and seventies but more so on the hippy circuit.
He's a Canadian poet and recently in his 80's he's made a huge comeback and lots of people are singing his songs ... Hallelujah probably being his most famous and popular right now.
