Hi guys, Im in a panic! Im t2 but on novorapid and metformin with meals and 24 units of Insulatard at night, however for the first time i forgot to shake it and now im in a panic, it was near the bottom of the vile, im hoping not too much normal acting got in me. I just had some bread with jam to put my sugar levels up, im thinking better to be high than go into a hypo, my levels are currently 130...now i wont sleep for worry! Any advice?

Just keep an eye on your blood sugar. You could run a bit high tomorrow.

@am1314 A bit late for you now, but if anything like that happens again, setting an alarm to test during the night is a good idea and can provide reassurance too.

I hope your blood sugar behaved.

Was a strange night, kept waking up worried! Just keep checking my levels. I was 130 when I ate the bread sandwich and it shot up to 190, every time I checked at night it was coming down by 10 and when I woke up it was about 140. Had a carb free breakfast and my fast acting insulin with metformin and I'm now back down to 100 so happy enough with that considering i had the safety net of sugary jam on bread!

@am1314 I'm glad all's well :)

Thank you for updating us and keep testing regularly today just in case there's any knock-on effect.

It's an easy mistake to make because taking insulin becomes routine and the brain can go on auto-pilot.
