I have recently been on holiday and stupidly didn't take enough insulin consequently cut my dosage to 20 units instead of 44. My bs remained around the same but on returning home they are starting to go up. My question is do I go back to 44 units or just increase it slightly. Many thanks

As @azure says speak with your DN/DSN if unsure what to do, but the sensible thing to do would be to increase the dose in small increments (and bg test) rather than go from 20u to 44u overnight.

yeh I agree with the moderators comments... going from 20 to 44 units is a big jump. It's best to get professional help and advice on what to do. I wish you the best and hope your BGLs come down for you shortly. :)

Ideally you have to adjust your units to 2 units every 2 to 3 days until you find your right dossage. That will be a high jump and for my opinion as insulin user for many years, it is not recommended. But ofcourse, its better to discuss this to your doctor or nurse.
