Insulin doseage

Hi my name is Robert i am 72 I have type two diabetes and am on novomix 30 sometimes I get confused about insulin doseage my doctor isn’t very helpful if my sugar level is 17 how much insulin should I take.
 
I'm afraid we can'tr advise on dosages as everyone is different - what one person needs may kill another.
If your doctor can't help with dosage advice do you not have a diabetic nurse or consultant you can ask who can help? If not you need to get your doctor to find you someone who can advise.
 
Novomix is not an insulin that can be used to correct a bg once you see it. It can only be altered when you take it in the face of a pattern. Note down what you are each day and what you eat then contact your dsn
