Newbie
New to this forum. Curious has anyone lowered their A1C to quickly? I.think i.screwed up my a1c was 9.8 and I have taken mine to around 6.3 now I have terrible neuropathy. Feet and hands burning.

Hi, I think you may find this thread interesting, where a number of people talk about insulin neuritis aka treatment induced neuropathy of diabetes.

Most of the people posting seemed to say that it improved over time....

Good luck.

Thank you very much for reply it's been hell. My quality of life was very good but sugar was high. I went from 9.8 to 6.3 in 2 months and starting have terrible PN. Went to my GP today he thinks all of it from my A1c coming down to quickly

I had all sorts of weird nerve feelings when I went suddenly very low carb.
Icy Water running up the backs of my calves was interesting !
However it didn't last more than a couple of months at most.
However I wasn't on any medication or insulin.
What did your gp recommend?

Really not much subscribed gabapentin just believes it is the A1c coming down to quickly. My added stress probably making it worse funny symptoms as well part of my inner thigh felt wet left side cheek on face feels hot feet went numb. Went for a hard walk and everything eased off tonite but got some light burning in hands as I get ready for bed.
