I always have a drop of insulin at the tip of insulin pen after an injection. I always keep it under the skin for at least 15-20 seconds every time I inject but I still get a small drop remaining Is this normal ???

I'm sure it is... happens to me also. I usually count to 10 and then release the plunger and push it back down again. Still happens. I don't think it matters much.

That is normal yeah.......it will just be the tiny amounts left in the needle itself......and its like a wee vacuum in there and so changes in pressure and cool science like that is likely responsible...;)

So, it's not witchcraft.... that's a relief :woot::)

Thanks everyone for your replies. Makes me feel heaps better
I was scared I wasn't getting all the dose.

Don't worry, I find the small drop at the end very useful. It's a good indicator that the injection worked. Things don't go wrong very often, but occasionally I've had a needle bent on the inside, and the injection doesn't work. So you can learn to love that small drop.

It's pretty much identical to what every bloke can relate to, yeah.
