I have been concerned I was not getting the full dose of insulin as there seemed to be some left on my skin after each injection. I just realised when I prime the pen with a few units first, a bit of that priming insulin must sit on the side of the white plastic part that twists into the cartridge which then 'falls' on the skin. Does that sound correct ? ;)

Hi @Sharrryn Can you confirm are you injecting and counting to 10 before withdrawing ?

Hi @Sharrryn As long as you're doing this then this is fine, you will get be getting the full insulin dose.

If there's insulin on the pen from priming then simply shake it off before injecting, but this isn't an issue or shouldn't be :)

Thank you. Feeling reassured now :)
