Newbie
I 56 years old and have had Type 1 Diabetes for 45 years. I am quite well controlled or at least I have been for most of the 45 years. I have never had hyperglycaemia and have not had a serious Hypo for years. Also apart from a bit of neuropathy in my left leg I have no complications.
However I have now started a new job in which it is very difficult to predict how much exercise I will be doing. Some times the job is very sedentary and the next moment, or three hours, I will be running around franticly. I then might think I am going to be running around and find time on my hands.
The result of this variation and unpredictability is that eating extra food and not needing it, or to little and getting very to dangerous low blood glucose levels.
Therefore what I would like is some advice from someone, about the best, easiest to use and easily affordable, I don't earn much over the minimum wage, continuous glucose measurement, possible connected to an insulin pump.
I have done some investigation myself and read about the G4 CGM from Dexcon and the Medtronic CGM but can anyone recommend these or any other product.
Thanks for taking the time to read this,
Clive
