Wow, almost 6 years old thread...
I was looking for more insulin pump set related problems...i've started loosing fat on my a*s since i started going to the gym 4-5 times + 1 karate practice a week. And that's where i usually put my sets. I've got some belly fat, but having a set there bothers me a lot during exercise...even had those sets that go in at an angle, supposedly for athletes with less body fat, but they were terrible. Left me with Killmonger-like scars.
The problem now is that my a*s is skewered from the insulin sets and one side needs a week+ to heal even though some bruises remain longer. Today when i was changing it, there was blood when i pulled out the needle, so set -1, ass skewering +1.
So the recommended period to switch sets is 3 days, but i've been extending that to even a week to give the previous site time to heal. On the other hand, the inserted set is not good for the tissue it's in and even the insulin absorption gets worse, making it harder to control my BS...i'm really at a loss at what to do...
