Hi there, looking for some advice please regarding the insulin pumps?
We live in Tenerife and my daughter (who is 10 yrs.. diagnosed type 1 and coeliac at 5 yrs) has a very active life, mainly to do with water. She swims daily for up to 1.5 hrs for the Los Cristianos swim team, we have a pool and of course the beach.
I am just wondering if anyone with a pump could advise if it would be worth trying this as I have read there are many benefits from it, but then my concerns are the amount of time she is in the water and sun exposure... plus of course availability (which I am looking into).
Any response appreciated.
Many thanks
