Insulin Resistance And Pcos

Hiya everyone i have just joined this evening. I have Pcos and i am insulin resistant, could this be stopping me losing weight. I am training at the gym and burning thousands of calories each week, my diet is healthy but i have remained the same weight since september 2017. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you resolve it. i am only on high blood pressure medication at the minute nothing else. Thank you and any advice greatly appreciated
Another PCOS here, though my insulin resistance developed into T2 years ago. (Stay ahead of that if you can!) I went to a dietician in 2007, and she perscribed a high carb diet. I was already a big girl due to the PCOS and thyroid issues, but after following her horrible advice I added another 15 kilo's. I stopped weighing myself at 102, but I know I was bigger than that. Once I got the T2 diagnosis and learned low carb/high fat could get my bloodsugar numbers down, I went for it... And later went farther, going Keto and adding intermittent fasting. My bloodsugars are good now, and I lost weight without significant excersize. I'm 78 kilo's now, so dropped a fair bit, and am still losing weight. Dietdoctor.com has loads of info on diet and PCOS/Insulin resistance, so you might want to take a look around their articles. All in all, it's not so much the calories, it's the carbs. With insulin resistance we can't process them very well...
