Novolin is the insulin that my husband uses. It is kept in the fridge until it's opened then can stay out. While in the fridge the smell is so strong that I can smell it if I'm in the other room and someone get's in the fridge. I can taste it in other foods that are in the fridge. It is so strong that it makes me sick to my stomach. Is there anything that I can do to make the smell go away. We've tried putting the vial's into a tupperware container and snapping it closed . It may have helped a little but not much.

Very much doubt it's the insulin your smelling, the vials/cartridges are sealed before they are opened and used.

Agreed with the above.. Stale dried insulin that may get caught from a pressure change drip in a pen cap may pong a little at close quarters, if at an ambient room temperature....

Are you sure you haven't got a dead rodent somewhere?

I have both pen cartridges and vials in my fridge and they definitely don't smell. If it was me, I'd check all the insulin for leaks and check the packaging too. But if they're both ok, then I would think the smell is coming from elsewhere.

That smell must be hell causing acrimonious & push a post anonymous,
blaming an insulin consignment locked in a solitary Tupperware confinement
The hysteria could be due to bacteria from a harmless cheese that needs removing, deleting, or even nuking
Before puking, & putting this thing to bed, a little light must be shed
I wouldn't blame the diabetes meds aroma raising ugly head, no brainier,
sooner than check the fridge out first I ain't no Yoda when it comes to chillers,
but remove all contents inspect potential killers. Then hit your illin' "white good's mould quota
bag any skank veg then with a damp rag revenge, drive by shoot bicarbonate of soda...
