Thanks all for the advice. I have a GluNEO meter, lancets and strips on a repeat prescription for a while and I didn't know about the statins so will look into that. Maybe thats why I'm back in 10 days to do a review of fast blood glucose?
I'm not sure on my numbers to be honest but am hoping with LCHF they will come down. Next time I'm tested I'll make a note of the types of test and numbers for each and report back.

@TrickyStillSticky please research statins as they can cause a rise in blood sugar levels. I was diagnosed with a hba1c of 48 which is just diabetic and was prescribed statins because ‘all diabetics should take them’ and I knew no better but within 3 months my hba1c increased to 54. When I came off them due to other side effects my hba1c quickly dropped to non diabetic levels. My GP has now put ‘statin intolerant’ on my notes as we don’t want to risk it happening again. Thanks all for the advice.
