Hi All,
My Name is Jason Voorhees I have been a Type 1 diabetic for 6years now, I inject Insulin twice a day and I'm currently on 50 units per injection. I am still struggling to come to terms with it... and my BM's have been 20+ the last few weeks.... however the last couple of days ive been doing well... with a 13.2 and 8.0 to day.... basicly needing to buck my ideas up... hopefully by joining here I will get useful hints and tips from you all.

I am sure He will. What you are cutting out in my experience are the best items to lose from the diet. I used to be hungry all the time but once I dropped those the huger went as well - or at least the extreme hunger. Keep up the good work!So far, for 3 days now i did not have carb (no rice, no bread, no potatoes, no pasta). I will try my best to carry on this diet (God give me strenght).
First I am sorry for your loss.My husband had diabetes and through bad management (his own & medics) developed major complications inc neuropahty, amputation of toes and other leg below knee, retinopathy , kidney problems etc etc. Went to meet his maker 6yrs ago.
You'd think I would have heeded the warnings, but ............. any way here I am having just found this forum.
I'm wanting to follow the Newcastle diet or similar but having trouble persuading the medics who put me straight on to metformin even though I was only just over the cut off point when first diagnosed. Also they are pushing me VERY hard to take statins, but I'm refusing. (Cholesterol 5.6 but bad ratio of "good/bad").
I'm a creative person, love painting, crafts, singing etc. None of which are particularly physical, so I'm trying to up my exercise.
