Hi Guys, I am new to the forum although I have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes around a year ago. My first Ha1c was 99, I am on Metformin twice daily, my last Ha1c was 44. I have filled in the questioaire so that you all get to know me a little better.

A little background: just call me slaxx. i don't like my name lol. was diagnosed with T1 at age 8. been 21yrs. joined the forum to see experiences and answers from other peeps, and maybe share a few of mine too. been through Humulin N/R, Humalog, and currently using Lantus/Apidra. may change to Tresiba/Apidra if needed. being a diabetic feels like getting a life sentence.

I'm T1, diagnosed 15 years ago (as of last week). Currently on MDI with Novorapid and a split dose of Levemir. Was on a pump for a few years but it didn't work out for me. Started using Libre back in May and loving it!

Hey all,another newbie on board.Type1 diabetic since December 1977 so 40 year anniversary is nigh.Decided to sign up now but been an avid reader of this forum for about a year and hell do I wish I'd found it earlier,it's great.My first port of call now for all things related to 'sugar' diabetese,that's how most people called it back in the day lol.I was a slacker in my younger years,18 years old at diagnosis,but been paying for it big time since the onset of neuropathy in 1992.I've been taking amitryptilene since diagnoses but feet and leg pain has increased lately so visited my gp with a long list of supplements and pain relief meds garnered from this very forum.He basically rubished all supplements,do they all? Put me on gabapentin to try alongside the amitryptilene,300mg x once a day on day one,felt normal,300mg x 2 on day two,all over the place,dizzy,really unsteady when I stood up or tried to walk and a kinda fuzzy head feeling? Thought it best to carry on and took the 300 mg x 3 times a day and been fine taking it since and I'm now on day 6 and neuropathy pain has been eased by around 50% so made up with that at the moment.Massive thanks to all contributors of the thread I got the info from,think it may have been named just 'neuropathy pain' not sure though.Enough rambling by me now and I look forward to engaging and learning every day from this font of knowledge.

Then i sort of wandered off, and now I am back to find out new info and about this Jason Fung person, who appeared on my YouTube last week and looks interesting. It looks like research has gone ahead in the last few years.

Husband and two daughters have diabetes, two sons and one daughter don’t,
Why is my mouth so dry constantly drinking to the point I feel like I am drowning from the inside,,
