Hi MaxineHi my name is Maxine. I’m from Scotland and I’m 55 years old. I’m very newly diagnosed type2 after unintentionally losing a stone in 5 weeks. Complete shock to me and feeling very overwhelmed at the moment. I’m hoping to learn more on this forum and look forward to chatting to everyone.
Thanks. GP tested my urine and no keytones so said type2.Hi Maxine
Just keep a cautious eye on the situation. Rapid unintentional weight loss is more often a symptom of type 1 than type 2. Early signs of both can be confusing as insulin fits and spurts. Keep a close eye and be prepared to go back to your Gp, or even to hospital if your ketones rise rapidly while your bg also rises
