Hello and welcome, @annmath.Thank you, I am pre diabetic and would like some support so on the forum
GreetingsHello I am from Glasgow, Scotland, UK. My main passions are reading, writing, and Doctor Who. I'm also a massive fan of Lord of the rings, tattoos, and I'm a collector of buttons, rocks, and knowledge. I also appear to be a collector of conditions - autism, ADHD, dyspraxia, polycystic ovaries, possible hypermobility, bit of anxiety and depression and now diabetes!
I'm hoping to increase my knowledge a bit more and add to my already large document of tips, tricks, recipes and food related info. And to support others on their journeys too if I can.
I'm hoping this is a kind place because I've had my fill of nasty humans right now!

Thank you for your lovely response. I didn't know that about Daniel Radcliffe, I never hear people talk about dyspraxia but there's probably a lot of 'clumsy' people who actually have it. I'm really not much of a fan of people but I know there are good ones out thereGreetings
On looking up dyspraxia think I suffered that a bit after brain trauma I discovered Daniel Radcliffe has it. Considering we are all in the boat of dealing with some hefty invisible illnesses these days. It never ceases to amaze me how nasty some folk can beHope you find what you need help wise. Have a great day PS love Scotland such a beautiful place.

Your comment made me smile. If anyone suggests camping to me my response is always "I don't sleep anywhere I can't plug in and flush"I have never camped in my life, and am not about to even consider it!
My Dr had ne on Gliclazide and I ballooned. The diabetic expert program and clinic at hospital took me off it and put me Farxiga. I lost over a stone in 3mths. When I next saw my Dr he said I'm glad your off the gliclazude that's a weight gainer no good for you!! I swear there are days I despair. I want to come off the Farxiga peeing every 40 mins is not anyway to live I'm a landscape photographer. And I csnt get out with my camera no loos in the wilds buy its a battle with him to change neds as he says they are working and I guess between 48 n 54 I'm stable ish however if I could get out walking for an hour or two a day ud lose more weight n be more stable I'm sure. Though I also have Endometriosis Poly Cystic Ovaries, Chronic Fstigue, Metabolic Syndrome and Fibromyalgia all Weight gaining health issues then add in a busted back n neck issue exercise is a bit tricky but walking or swimming I could do uf I wasn't needing the loo all the time! I'm not convinced GPs are as clued up as they could be on diabetes pushing to see specialists might be your answer especially as you were doing so well overseas. Was your diet n exercise routine better when you lived abroad do you think? Have a good weekendDear all,
I have just become a member of this great community and I am very grateful for your support. My name is Andrew and I live in Leeds. I have suffered from diabetes type 2 since 2002. I have also been diagnosed with a diabetic neuropathy in my feet in September this year. It has been a struggle all these years. I have lived abroad for 5 years and I had my diabetes reversed meaning I haven’t been taking any medications. I have lost 43 kg by dieting and exercising whilst living abroad. After returning back to UK it has been 14 years now I have been given more medication and now in this recent diagnosis I am loosing faith in medicine. It is all just a preventative measure never a cure of such. Anyway I like to read mainly non fiction books, history research, science and psychology. It is not my profession but I like to keep my mind occupied. Also I love spending time in North Yorkshire and by going abroad as well as. I love going to theatre, music festivals, museums. I am a Christian and I practice my religious beliefs regularly and also I respect other beliefs.
