I'm working on my first undergraduate degree but am aiming to switch programs soon. Currently, it's life sciences - focus on human biochemical processes, genetics etc - and I'm looking at possibly transferring to biomedical engineering.
Diabetes has been an ongoing topic of interest throughout, I've researched it for class projects and in my own time.

My name is Justice, I am 18 years old and male. I am from KC Missouri, in the US. I'm poetic, curious, and loving. I prefer Linux but the world wants windows. I footbag, perform slam poetry, and do robotics. Hi. I am a 75 year old male. I have been type 2 for about 30 years which l have managed reasonably well. Unfortunately the past few years it's been a struggle. I have now been put on insulin. I have only been on insulin for 2 weeks and my A1c is slowly coming down. This morning l am on 8.0. Next week l am being given mounjaro to assist me further. My current weight is around 176lbs. To answer some of the questions. I am not religious. I love outdoor life, and traveling. I have been to many counties around Europe. The States, Canada, Turkey Tunisia and each of the British countries. My main hobby is now fishing. I love being on the beach fishing and relaxing. I can't remember any other of the questions so l guess this will have to do. I look forward to reading through your replies to questions posted and hopefully answer 1 or 2 myself

I’m male, in my 40s, and have been dealing with type 2 diabetes for a number of years now. Like many people, I’ve had periods where things were fairly well controlled and other times where it has been more of a struggle, particularly with weight management and trying to stay consistent.

Outside of health stuff, I enjoy travelling, football, and spending time with friends. I also have an interest in nutrition and how lifestyle changes can genuinely impact long-term health, although like most people I probably know what I should be doing more often than I actually do it!

I am JJ. I recently had a bout of Acute Pancreatitis. I became a Type 3c Diabetic overnight. I am struggling to keep my blood sugars controlled, even though I have followed all the instructions.

Last week, my blood sugars dropped from 11.2 to 1.4 in an hour and I had to call out the paramedics. A couple of days later, I sky-rocketed from 7.1 to 16.9 in an hour and again, for no reason I can see.

I suffer with night-time hypoglycaemia. I rarely get to bed before 3am.

Before all of this happened, I was a happy, carefree guy who loved life and now I hate every single second of it. The fast-acting insulin has stopped working for me and no one I have spoken to in the NHS seems to have a clue about Type 3c. I spoke to a new Diabetic Nurse yesterday, who admitted she had never even heard of it. Then told me to treat it just like Type 1! It's ridiculous. I will have to pay to go private now.

I have big dark bags under my eyes, where I am sleeping so badly and the fear is always there, that I will fall into a diabetic coma and die. When I went down to 1.4, I could hardly speak. If I had been asleep when this happened, it isn't worth thinking about.

I just want some blood sugar stability. The weight is falling off me because I am not allowed to consume any fat until I have my gallbladder removed, in August. I'm not feeling very hopeful at the moment.

It is good to be here, though.

Mate! This sounds like my story, I. 64 male and last Christmas I got nerve damage in my leg, diagnosed with type 2, since then got a urinary infection which stopped me eating/sleeping for months, losed 2 1/2 stone? Do you think stomach/pancreas/liver
problems are related with diabetes?
