I did post on another part but got no replies. Type 1 for 40 yrs. Was getting palpitations and puffed out, coincided with some blood tests. Dr said low iron/low fertitin (again). Put me on iron tabs for blood retest in 3 months. Felt v ill and breathless yesterday so went to Dr's (different Doc) who said my iron wasn't that low at 11.2 and ferritin was 9 ( its been this in the past). She said it would take 2 weeks or so till I feel better. Think she thought I was a bit of a panicker! I have no idea why my levels of ferritin ate low, had endosc/colonosc tests all negative. No heavy periods, diet ok. I look like a pale goth, not a good look at 50.!!!!!!
