Or, now that Christmas is over, the odds have shortened because of omicron.
As the cabinet disagrees with the scientists and the powers that be, who run this country are playing games with our NHS.
The numbers of those coming out with lies and distortions of truth is going to far.
The numbers of beds, covid beds, and capacity of the NHS in England has shrunk again since then beginning of covid. There is going to be more cancellations of operations, appointments and the likelihood that if enough covid hospitalisations occurs and I'm hoping it doesn't. If you add in the staff shortages, staff shortages because of austerity. Staff shortages because of illness because the staff are not adequately protected still! And the usual hospitilisations for the time of year which is now as bad as the winter before pre covid. There is not enough capacity even without covid.
We are still getting a thousand deaths a week to covid, we are breaking records for daily positive infections. We have run out of testing equipment for pcr and lateral flow tests. And capacity for processing tests has been overrun and can't cope, once again, we were not prepared for another surge, even though it has been nearly two years.
Those in charge still have not learned the lessons.
So why are we in this mess?
Even though there are millions have been tripled jabbed, double jabbed and just jabbed and of course there is a fourth on the way.
However, this does not stop you getting it. But you are more resilient to the viral load, and and that is the important critical sometimes fatal fact about the virus. How ill you will be depends on the amount of viral vermouth inhale and the more you inhale, the load increases and your body depending on underlying conditions, can make it worse. And the way it is treated and the best treatment available, but how can it be, with the way this bunch of ingrates in charge of the big decisions of all our health. Not the professors, researchers, public health, the experts, the people who organise the daily life and death decisions in our hospitals, clinics, surgeries and care homes. Have no say on how to deal with the situation. Politics decide!
They don't know how these decisions can impact on the people who voted them in.
It is a power struggle between different factions in the party which has now been running before the Tories gained power in eleven years ago. Brexit was a huge part of the same factions, when leavers and remainders, and both factions were led by Tories. The lies flowed from them like a Tsunami! And we bought it!
It is now the norm, for Tory politicians to continually not be truthful and they follow the party line, not because of loyalty or agree with it, but are under threat from the party, and afraid to lose their jobs, and be sacked for telling the truth. They are using the pandemic to give the illusion that the NHS can't cope, we know they can't, but the government is slowly eroding the effectiveness of our beloved health service.
During the turkey shortage headlines and empty shelves and fresh food becoming more expensive and sell by dates are shorter, and you can't get certain foods, meds, and imports because of brexit, the government told the leading supermarket chains to get turkeys from Europe. So it wouldn't become a headline. The breeding of turkeys for slaughter has been decimated in the UK, as has much of our industrial base. The reason is capitalism and cost and production. The cheapest production and wages, as well as taxes, and not forgetting availability and transportation.
The damage caused by Brexit is mounting, the freedoms of rights and civi l liberties, is impacting on all our lives. The effects of covid, and all that influences of daily life is a huge cause of concern.
But the puppets of the media, the ministers who are being used to propagate the lies and misinformation. The back handed deals, the sleaze, the widening gap between the rich and poor and the incessant denial of being fairly treated or benefits are disreportionate in favour of those who have influence and massive bank accounts.
The class war is back, we might as well be back in the dark ages. In every level of modern British society is a level of getting a better life depending on who your family is of who you can bribe to further benefit your lifestyle.
In education, health, housing, employment options, even membership of of all types of sports and social membership. The barriers are supposed to be coming down, but the old them and us has been highlighted by the political elite and worse is that they wouldn't own up when caught and lied and lied and the puppets were uncaring and dismissive impacting the lies, and enforcing the guilt by saying the prepared spin. And the press bought it and laughed it off. So did those who work for these hypocrites, liars and thieves.
Stupidly, I actually believed that MPs were by oath, as in the law courts, are obliged by their religion to be truthful and enforcing the rule of legal duty to the crown and to the voters in the particular constituency.
But, hey ho! I'm a fool, like the majority in this **** from elbow country.
Finally, because of this government, doing what they are trying to achieve in parliament and new laws that are anti democratic and only like brexit, benefiting those who are invested in being more privileged and making more millions or billions courtesy of the treasury. But the real bottom line with this attack of our society and how our public services are always being denied financial sustenence, it is all down to tax! Yes tax!
The common factor of all this is the taxes paid by this elite. Wether it's income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, or local tax, business taxes. It is the burden of taxes, that they cannot find a way of not paying it They do not want to pay for public services because they don't have to use it! If you don't believe this, why in the last budget statement, bankers, mainly in the financial district of London, got a tax break! Whilst the poorest on universal credit had an overall reduction of £20 per week, so if that doesn't convince you what is going on behind the doors of Downing street, that they deny anything that isn't good news for the press barons. And as usual it deflects and hides from the reality of it all.
this elite has been trying to achieve tax reduction across the whole of financial services, they have the capacity to move their earnings or I'll gotten gains to one our islands in our waters, which are tax havens, which of course they abuse. And little ol' you and me, can't do that because we have nowhere near the size of bank account necessary for residency.
Tax avoidance or hire an expert accountant, who gets invites and tickets, also becomes best friends. And probably charges a huge amount of money, just because a greedy capitalist wants to deny food for children during holidays, wants to deny a bed to someone who can't afford private health care or your grandparents pension increase of nurses wages, who are in real terms a pay cut. To deny disabled mobility, to deny the homeless, to deny the proper care in our old age. To deny the public services, the council's, the millions of residents or subjects of our monarchy, England, Scotland, Wales, Nortern Ireland, the United Kingdom and the whole British islands and crown dependencies, justice, democracy, I mean real democracy, an unbiased system of government that isn't bought or threatened by the elite and the multinationals, this multi ethnic country needs a multi party approach because the way that we do things in this country is so wrong!
And the worrisome part of it all, is it's going to get worse starting tomorrow or the day after that when more brexit rules comes into force in all our imports and exports have to have the right documents and more documents and restrictions on the drivers and the food chain, the just in time, the reason why we joined in the first, to get what we wanted from abroad without tariffs and security we achieved after WW2. To prevent border disputes and open new markets within Europe. To keep the peace and join in a new democratic alliance and trading partners.
How is brexit going for you?or your company losing major orders?or has the price of fresh food gone up or you can't find it in your local shops? Or was one of your bosses quizzing the treasury minions, where their boss was last week?

And if brexit is going so well, why isn't there a list of benefits plastrered all over everywhere?
And if you can find one that benefits my nephew and his family when he is queuing for a food parcel, after working part time on a Kickstarter wage, which doesn't even cover his outgoings? Never mind luxuries like a roof, food, heating, new warm clothes, just basics to live, sorry survive! Is it much to ask for wages that reflect a decency of lifestyle?
Is it too much to ask the government to do the right thing and give treasury money to where it is needed before the heath services implodes?
Number six on New year's eve, and the truth is it is far from over, and we are stuck in the middle of political decisions, that can only bring more misery and anxiety and depression and despair!
