For Type 2, your second test 2 hours after the glucose drink would be over 11; you sound to be pre-diabetic still - but I'm no expert! Discuss it with your GP.
As for cholesterol - contrary to popular opinion, dietary fat only accounts for about 20% of your total cholesterol; the rest is made in your liver. In fact, eating too much
carbohydrate pushes your cholesterol up; it turns into glucose. The body uses what it needs for energy, and then turns the rest into triglycerides (very bad cholesterol) and shoves it into your fat cells  . So if you've been eating fewer carbs and less fat, I would expect your total cholesterol to drop.
Ask your GP to tell you what your "lipid profile" is, and what it means. The "total cholesterol" figure is only one of several readings, and is really only a guide. Your total cholesterol:HDL ratio is more important, and should be around 3.5. I won't go into further detail just now, but when you've got your results, come back and ask more questions if you want to. We're here to help.
And yes, you are entitled to see your test results. I get print-outs of all my blood tests from my surgery; and I don't pay for the copies, either! That gives me a change to study them in my own time, and if I have any questions, I go back and see the doctor.
Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on
