Is it always the case that significant weight loss (5 stone+) would make blood glucose levels a) lower in general b) easier to control and get down to between 4-7, if they are currently between 7-10 (without medication).
 
I don't think that there is a definitive answer but certainly losing weight and watching your diet re carb intake will lower your blood sugar levels and help with weight loss.
