Type 2 Is This The Right Medication?

I knew someone would ask this, and I am not at liberty to divulge. All I will say is look at the shelves, and if most of what they stock is ready made meals or convenience food, and if their home cooked section or home baking aisle is small by comparison, then be suspicious.
 
James11 - wrong assumption. Some of us in this forum like me are highly qualified medical doctors with diabetes Type 2 and could give medical advice. I qualified 40 years ago but now retired.

Moreover, being a Type 2 diabetic (not on insulin) for 22 years with good control, I have used my knowledge to advice many people including my Type 2 mother going strong towards 90 years of age with diabetes since 43 years ago (not on insulin).

As for one of us seeking second opinion, please follow your doctor's advice immediately as further future evaluations will determine how your diabetic control goes.

Diabetes is a complex condition and what works for one person might NOT work for another. With good management, you will eventually be stabilised but it takes a lot of patience and self-discipline.
 
Hi. With regard to your earlier post, many/most T2s will have excess (not a lack of) insulin as the pancreas will be trying to metabolise the excess blood glucose but failing due to insulin resistance. The c-peptide test is commonly used to help distinguish between the types T1 and T2 based on this
