Issue with Libre - blank screen

I had the blank screen issue this morning following the auto update. Deleted the app, restored from the past ‘purchases’ area and logged in with my libreview account. The app asked me to scan and add a sensor and thankfully it accepted my existing one (which has a few days to go). Updates now coming in once a minute automatically. Be warned that all data is lost in the app following this approach. Only the last 8 hours pulled from the sensor is in there now. This is despite being successfully linked to Libreview. Not a great drama as it’s thankfully still reporting to the site.

I’m on iPhone X & app wasn’t there yesterday morning when I went to update it, only started a new sensor on Monday so all ok for now
Hope they get it resolved quickly & feel for everyone that are unable to use it

Yeah I done that likewise eventually. Is your old Libre app showing within your iPhone apps as I can’t see mine anywhere if that makes sense

I couldn’t restore from my past purchases either however there is a really good fix, download the free Shuggah app from App Store. I found it at midnight when I realised there was a problem, some lovely person posted about it. It s SO much better than the official app as it turns our Libre sensors into a proper CGM, no more scanning! Still getting my head around the alarms that you can actually change, but now have my blood sugars popping up on my calendar (so on all devices) and as a banner when I open my phone, and as a label on the app button. Will be hard to go back to the official app after using this one but will have to at least check in with it every 8 hours for the NHS data I guess!

Android users seem to have escaped. This is an iOS issue for the new Abbott software.
A simple solution is just to download Shuggah from the Apple Store and use that with your existing sensor until Abbott get their act together.
Abbott farm out their software development and past history has not been good for Apple compatibility. This could take some time so just use a working 3rd party product for the time being.
For android users, in the unlikely event you also have problems with the new software, just use Juggluco .com.
Both Juggluco and Shuggah cope with the current 1 minute sensor output.

Thank you! I’ve downloaded Shuggah and it works perfectly

Likewise, thanks for tip - didn’t know Shuggah existed but now have my peace of mind back. And think I actually prefer it - great not to have to scan every time to get a current reading!

Hi, I’ve got that. How do you rectify this issue or when will it be resolved?
As described in the comment above ...
As someone mentioned above if you previously had the app on your phone, even though it can’t be accessed in the App Store it can be accessed and reinstalled.
Click on My Account in the top right and click on Purchased where it will list all the apps that you have installed. Find it there and download again. You’ll need to fill in the registration info again but once done you should be able to scan your sensor (no need for. New one)

Hey! I literally just posted about the same thing!!
Yes, I’m having the same problem too. I managed to get through to someone on the phone after being on hold for 2 hours!!!
They have said they updated the app and it’s gone wrong and they have people working on it at the moment. However, they are unsure of when it will be up and running again
I hope it’s soon I’ve been getting the signal loss notification through constantly for an hour

Can you get through to the Bluetooth screen on the app? Took me a while to figure out how to get started, but need to get to the Bluetooth screen (Bluetooth symbol at bottom of app Home Screen), then click on the + to select CGM then Freestyle 2 and then scan your sensor. Mine wouldn’t scan first few times, but persevered and it worked. Now I don’t need to scan it again as it’s just transmitting automatically like a proper CGM.

Yes mine isn’t working and so are others… possibly a problem with the latest iOS upgrade… whatever, it’s going to make everyone’s weekend a bit **** at best - hopefully not in hospital…
