Dear Friends

I am a T2 non insulin diabetic and have managed it successfully, my bloods are good and I try to follow low carb. Recently i have been getting itchy legs after a bath. Is that significant in diabetic terms? The reason I ask is that itching is what led me to get diagnosed. Any help is appreciated

I get fiendishly itchy legs sometimes (not diabetes related, AFAIK) and find moisturising helps - I like this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Aveeno-Daily-Moisturising-After-Shower/dp/B01LN1R8CM/ref=sr_1_14?crid=1X6DAJFLTL92K&keywords=aveeno+moisturising+lotion&qid=1582494259&sprefix=Aveno,aps,181&sr=8-14

It’s light and doesn’t smell of much, but really seems to help if I apply it every other day after a shower. However there may, of course, be other causative factors in your case so probably best to check in with your doc.

Many thanks for your advice

MikeyG - Do you take Metformin to help with your diabetes? A number of folks get itching with that.

Otherwise, if this concerns you, have a chat with your Doc.
