Does anyone know if there is a connection between T2 and these skin conditions? I wonder because a man, younger than myself, who I know has T2, when I saw him last - quite a while before the lockdown - had lots of scratched spots scarring his arms and I wondered then if it was connected to his diabetes. At that time, I had had no problems with my skin.
Over the last months I have noticed that I have developed very dry skin on my feet, eczema of some sort on my legs, lots of itchy spots on my arms, face and shoulders (which I desperately want to scratch, but try not to), and dozens of skin tags. I wonder if it is due to the diabetes, or just because I retain too much fluid and have swollen legs and feet and probably other parts of my body to a lesser extent.
