Its cold today

Had tow ear socks in bed last night!! My poor feet were like blocks of ice. Getting to work was treachorous this morning. Freezing cold buses and pavements like skating rinks made it perilous to get out of bed. Bed socks and maybe an old fleece tonight in bed. Oh the joys of winter. :?

would have loved to have seen you in them Ian!! Bed socks tonight again even though it's not as cold as yesterday. Snowed while at work today and we were hinting at being allowed to finish early. Started raining!! How unfair is that?

Gilly - you said "ear socks" I was wearing a fur hat that covered my ears. £2 in Lidls.

West Midlands is cold - we were in Wallheath over Christmas & went to the high point of Baggerage Country Park on Boxing Day. I don't mind if people laugh at my hat. It keeps me warm. Perhaps I should wear it in bed

Well it was down to minus 8 here last night and the reservoir I run round every day was partially frozen this morning, mainly just around the edges and in the narrow neck end. Very slippery under foot on the path when "trying" to run.

I think its gonna be cold this weekend and we're going away from Thusday to Sunday in caravan. Packed lots of warm clothes, two thick quilts and an electric blanket

and very cold have had to dig out a duvet

Should have read 'wear' not 'ear' Ian. Clumsy fingers. Not as cold last night but still wore the socks and my feet felt so much warmer. We're supposed to start getting warmer weather in the next few days, Heard that this year is going to be a really warm one.....I gave up on fairy stories years ago. :)

I know - but I have a "Denis Norden" approach to typos  My wife cuddles a big teddy bear while I need a seal to fill the gap when she grabs too much bedding. She wears a "tea cosy" hat in bed.

Whatever the weather, we can blame it on "global warning"

It must be cold, my 12 yr old had to do cross country today (boy is he tired tonight!) and tomorrow he has to do rugby, he's asked to borrow his Dads thermal underwear  You'd think they'd be a temperature when they can get off sports, he said he sat in class for 2hrs trying to get warmed up beside a radiator!

I was lovely and warm last night under two quilts and an electric blanket in my caravan :D slept in this morning till about 1030, thats something I've not done for some years

Was cold when I went for my run though, made worsre by being on unfamiliar tracks and stepping in iced puddles to over ankle deep, glad I had a hot shower to defrost in when I got back.

Sat with heating up and will be under two quilts again tonight
