I've had it with carbs

My weight gsin was from a size 10-12 ... But was not due to medical or carb cravings... Just my world around me.. So with life and medical conditions such as OP above I think it is a double whammy to bslance and be HAPPY with your own sustainable life eatings and life happiness in general...

Life is tough without being hung up on food... Sustainability for food and happiness has to be top of any lifestyle changes... Sitting down at a table for meals has to be number one to get a balance. If you think I have to eat at a table.. Not in car, not in garage, not out shopping... But at my dining table then a bar of chocolate n crisps and cake at 1pm or 1am on your table does make you think.....

I have been on the initial atkins stage of dieting for 13 days now and not lost one lb! Very disapointed... dont understand... my insulin has needed to be adjusted onlh in that I need more basal and a bit less novo but considering im not taking carbs.... im on meat, cheese, fish, lettuce, cauli, broch, nuts.....occasionally plain greek yogurt........im not hungry...ive stuck to it. ive supprised myself.... but dont feel any different....:(

Have a look at LCHF. Try www.dietdoctor.com. You don't need to weigh anything and the doc who writes the blog specialises in diabetes and obesity. I have lost 2 stone in 3 months. You must drink double what you would normally drink and will have a couple of weeks where you may plateau. This happened to me twice. Once for 3 weeks and once for 2 weeks.
