Type 1 I've taken Levemir instead of Novorapid?! Help!!

PLEASE can anyone offer advice? I've just taken 4 units of Levemir instead of 4 units of novorapid!! What should I do?! I haven't taken the novorapid for the 40g carbs I ate and I'm just checking my blood every 20-30 mins. (I usually take 8 units of Levemir a day and split it 4 units- morning and 4 units-night ) Thanks x
 
I wouldn't worry about it that much @Little My , just don't take your levemir dose this evening.

I would bolus for the carbs you've eaten, the extra levemir won't be doing anything to deal with that.

You'll have a bit of an overlap with the levemir this afternoon/evening. So watch out for hypos and maybe think about reducing your dinner time bolus.

But the overlap should have finished by bedtime, if you omit your usual pm basal dose. You might wake up a little high cos levemirs lasts 12 hrs, so you'll have no basal by about 5am but if you wake up early to start fresh tomorrow that'll be easily dealt with
