i just started Januvia. My dr said joint pain and muscle soreness are side effects. I have terrible cramps in both calves tonight. I took some ibuprofen and have my legs under a blanket which helps some. I will talk to my dr in the am.

Is there something else I should do?

No januvia can have side effects.
Discuss with your GP.
Are you on any other meds, as the combination can verbose symptoms especially statin s!

Hope you get sorted.
Januvia is a Gliptin, and there are other forms of Gliptin, not just Januvia.

I am in a number of medications. I also take metformin and atorvastatin, synthroid and a slew of psych meds

If you haven't already do talk to your gp.
I couldn't take statins because of the combination of meds that I was on.
But it could also be the januvia.

Thanks, my dr doesn't think it was related to the medication and told me to keep taking it. I am hoping the pain doesn't come back

It might have been an initial response, side effects, that you have now overcome.
