Hi, i'm applying for an apprenticeship for when i leave school, does T1 Diabetes count as a disability under the equality act? I don't consider myself disabled but obviously i don't want to say 'no' if i have to say 'yes' for legal reasons or something?
 
I don't think you need to put your disabled on the form. I would never put it down, same as a job application form. It's hard enough getting a job!
 
@alexwilko99 You have to be totally honest, If and when you get a interview and they ask about your diabetes, you can then give your opinion regarding your thoughts that you don't classify your self as being disabled.
If you do not get the Apprenticeship it will be their loss.
What kind work does the Apprenticeship involve ?
