Sad to hear the news that the sit-com writer John Sullivan has dies from viral pneumonia aged 64.
He will always be remembered for Only Fools and Horses.
Customer helplines that use recorded menus that promise to put me through to the right person but never do - and being ill. Oh, and did I mention customer helplines :)
I don't think many of us will forget the great writing which made us all laugh at the antics of various characters........notably Only Fools and Horses. Classic stuff.

Ken, I saw a programme about John Sullivan a few years back, a lot of the antics they got up to in Only fools and Horses was based on his own real life experiences, the chandelier scene was based on his grandads recollection of a real event when he was young man working in a country manor.
