John Sullivan. R.I.P.

Very sad indeed, he was arguably the best comedy writer that ever penned a sit com.
 
Sad news indeed, as Sid says he was one of greatest comedy writers of all time.

I don't think many of us will forget the great writing which made us all laugh at the antics of various characters........notably Only Fools and Horses. Classic stuff.

Ken, I saw a programme about John Sullivan a few years back, a lot of the antics they got up to in Only fools and Horses was based on his own real life experiences, the chandelier scene was based on his grandads recollection of a real event when he was young man working in a country manor.

I LOVE Only Fools and Horses. His best writing by a country mile.
