Hi @GrantGam . How's the juicing going? Never even considered it myself and after reading your exploits I'm not planning on starting soon:):):):).
So the guy on the telly ? Was it the guy on at 4 a.m on telescoping channel? The one with the strange hair cut? An attractive blond helps him and swoons at every concoction he Nutribullets?
Good luck with the Nutribullet. Sincerely hope not to see it in a charity shop in the foreseeable future.;);)
Aye not bad, I'm still eating real food as well like, but I've drank some amount of fruit and veg over the last few days!

So I'm confident my error was bolusing for total carbs vs the "of which sugars" quantity. Haven't had any hypos from the last few so all good. Funnily enough, BG spikes are minimal or totally absent, which I find quite unusual considering loads of the fibre has been stripped out. Saying that, I'm not exactly overdoing the high carb fruit part - most of the juices are green with an apple, pear, lemon, lime, etc just for sweetness/flavour. I'm seldom bolusing more than 3u; now I've got a rough idea of what I need to bolus for!

Haha, probably the same salesman! Those guys could sell you anything though, gift of the gab and all that. It's the exercise machines that get me though. Everyone ripped with 2% body fat all because of a £35 step machine (with an inclusive 90 day no quibbles returns guarantee)... Who smiles so much when they're exercising anyway! Joking aside, the dude with the credentials is Jason Vale. If there is anything to know about juicing, he's apparently your man.

The Nutribullet is here to stay! I use it daily for making sauces and the like. It's also amazing for blitzing annoying stuff to dice, like onions and garlic. Makes cracking smoothies also! The charity shops won't take any electrical items due to them requiring PAT testing before resale, which puts them out of pocket. But that's just me being a pedantic electrician, rather than a disgruntled nutribullet owner who was conned by a guy with a blonde mullet;)

The juicing may not be that long term a venture (mainly because of the cost of all the fruit and veg). But it's certainly something I'll do from time to time to top up the old vitamin stores:) Who wants to live forever anyway?!

Hi, i eat at least six fruits a day but rather than finish them in one go i spread them out through out the day. I tend to run my basal bolus a little higher so i keep my blood sugar up by eating fruit.
I juice occasionally when my fruit bowl is looking a little sad and drink it through the day and i don't notice much difference to when i eat the whole fruit.
Oh i use a blender and juice the whole fruit.

Liquorice and aniseed (especially the tracer I have to drink in hospital before a CT scan - yuk!)
Hi

I sometimes "juice" (with a Nutribullet - other brands are available) retaining all the fibre.

I use a Libre, so I'm wary of BG spikes, which in my case do occur with pure fruit/veg mixes. However, I minimise these by adding full fat Greek yoghurt or an avocado to make a smoothie rather than an actual juice.

I also sneak in some protein powder and seeds. (I've tried adding nuts, but they tend to overpower the other flavours.)

Look on the bright side, @GrantGam , even if you're having bolus decisions to make here, you're not going to get the dreaded scurvy next time you're at sea! The rest of them will have their teeth dropping out, but you'll be fine!

@GrantGam . OMG. Please tell me that " joke" is one of the side affects of juicing.
It was that bad I had to laugh out of pity.:):):):):):).
