Started my new eating regime recently and trying to forget everything I thought knew about healthy eating.
Getting easier by the day especially with everyone kindly sharing on this site.
(I am T1)
However just a couple of questions (for now)
From my Collins Gem Carb Counter should I be counting carbs or net carbs?
To answer this correctly it is better if you read Page.17 of the CGCC book. Explains it very well.
How do you count say 1 pint of semi skimmed milk over a day. If it is 30g over the course of the day, would you split it over 3 injections?
Not being a T1 I would hazard a guess that this is just part of an overall days consumption of Carbs and not critical unless you are drinking it all at once. I am sure there will be a T1 who can advise better.
The collins Gem has Cream Crackers listed as 0.7g of carbs each - is this right, seem very low in comparison to other crackers.
The Cream Crackers are definitely better than a lot of other Crackers and Crispbreads. They taste nice too !Where can I find the recipe for Fergus's bread and similar loaves (couldn't find on Eddies site)
The actual recipe has been removed for Commercial reasons. Fergus now makes and sells the bread along with the mixes. Having used the mixes myself I can vouch for the flavour and minimall effect on my Bg levels, as opposed to so called 'healthy' bread.
His e-maoil address is [email protected] Ask for details and prices.
Hope this helps.

Edited. 2332hrs today. Thanks to Graham for pointing out the incorrect info Re Crackers (Jacobs). You may be able to handle them but they actually contain 5+ carbs per cracker. See post further on.
