Help! Help! Help!
I'm due to start my university course in September (Nursing). However, have just had a phonecall from the department offering me to start next Tuesday
Apparently, the NHS have been researching and their statistics show that the number of qualified nurses will fall short in 3 years (the time when I'll be qualifying). Now, they are offering all student nurses the chance to start their courses now instead of in September.
I would LOVE to jump at the chance, I feel like I'm just waiting around to start at the moment. My diabetes is pretty well controlled now (HBA1C of 7%) and I've had enough of preliminary training watching Casualty and saying:
'Oh gosh, that chap is clutching at his chest. Myocardial Infarction!'
HOWEVER.....I have no accommodation sorted, and no finance sorted. Apparently this can be done ASAP and sorted for me within the next couple of weeks, and as I'm fairly local to the university I can hold tight at home until a place becomes available.
What would you do? I've tried writing a pros and cons list, but they turn out equal! Do I let my heart rule my head and start now, or do I stay practical and boring ( ) and wait until September?
Any answers hugely appreciated guys! The head of Health and Social Care is ringing me back tomorrow about what I can do regarding finance, he's going to chase it all up for me and find out what my options are xxx
