Having started to get my head round my sons diagnosis, I was just curious as to what if any type of infection triggered your sons/daughters type 1 x

The most common theory is that a 'virus' does something to the immune system to make it malfunction. Some people blame stress but in reality, the medical profession doesn't have a definitive answer to 'what causes diabetes.'

There has even been recent supposition that C-19 can trigger it.
