Keto in the USA: total or net carbs?

Hi folks - I live in the UK and follow a keto diet - 20-30g of carbs per day. I’m in the US for a while and don’t know whether I should be reading net carbs or total carbs on food labels so that I follow the same rules as I have been using in the uk. Can anyone help? Thank you!!

Yes, any USA labels will tend to show Total Carbs, Net Carbs and Fiber (note the spelling).
In this case, Total Carbs = Net Carbs + Fiber
In the UK labels subtract Fibre (note the spelling) from the Total Carbs (since Fibre is not digested) so in the UK Carbs is just digestible carbs.

So Carbohydrates on a label in the UK = Net Carbohydrates on a label in the USA.
