Ketones

im t2 what are kettones ta

Ketones are a kind of different break down of fats in the body for brain and body fuel when one do not get either enough carbs to use as glucose-fuel for brain and body...

some diabetics mainly type 1 diabetics do start to break down their own body tissue to live from because they can no longer break down carbs as they have not any insuline in their body to break down carbs with when becomming diabetic type 1...or maybe they just have too little of the little remaining production of insuline from their pancreas that is not functioning right anymore...

some type 2 diabetics have a similar kind of problem as their blood glucose is totally skyrocketing as their insuline (which they usually have 7-10 times more of than normal people) as their insuline is no longer allowed to make way for glucose into their cells anymore because of huge insuline resistance... then they can too start to produce ketones to live from ... untill they get control over their eating style and quit the carb dominant eating style...and get their body helped to a very low level of carbs that they can hopefully manage, very othen under 80 grams of carbs a day...

Ketones do not have to be unhealthy to live from , but the excess amount of carbs/glucose in ones blood is unhealthy and do damage to the body,
Some diabetics type 2 do live almost without carbs and then their bodies start to produce ketones to save the very little liver production of transformed proteins into glucose for the parts of the brain that can only function on glucose then the rest of the brain and the body lives from the ketones as a substitue instead of glucose... the advantage of ketones is that when you are very low in carb intake your insuline goes down and then you can burn fats very effectively . which most type 2 persons can not do very effectivly because of the many times raised insuline level because of the very raised glucose level in their blood.

well thats the way I have understood all the mecanisms in ketone-style-dieting and the other problems in problems of ketones... .. some others in here maybe can explain it better and maybe I have not totally got the grib of the concept and they may correct me then...

besides that fats can also be used for body energy.. I don´t know excactly how and to which fuel parts it breaks down into.. except from the ketones...or if the ketones are mostly a protein break-down
