Was your blood sugar high? If so, this suggests you need more insulin.
Years ago, a non-diabetic pregnant colleague was kept waiting for hours at her hospital appointment. She was very hungry, as she was past her usual lunch time. The nurse was concerned about ketones in her urine, but apparently this was due to "starvation". If your b.s. was ok, were you very hungry?

If this becomes a pattern you'll have to increase your insulin. You don't want high blood sugars with or without ketones.

I had ketones in mine a couple of times! I’m 16 weeks pregnant and there is no explanation as sugars weren’t and hadn’t been high? X
