KFC doing Low Carb

I think given the overheated vegetable oil that has set there for a long time converting into trans fat, if I must have fast food the "insides" of a Big Mac will be a better option.
I don't think the oils turn into trans fats, but they do become oxidized, which is not good for your health.

Given that the website shows the meal (with chips) and the one without chips both have the same cabs, I’d guess there’s an error somewhere.

Chicken of dubious origin, covered in over processed batter mix, deep fried in vegetable oil with a slice of cheese 'food' and a highly processed, sugary, flavoured sauce.

It could be zero carb but there's no way I'm putting that **** in my body.

I agree. Even before I ate low carb I was selective about what I ate.
Low carb does not equal healthy.

I have just had one for tea. My BS was 6.5 I bolused for 11g carbs according to my fitness pal and an hour later my BS was 3.9! So i think 11g carbs is correct ( I got one without the sauce) so obviously most of the carbs is in the sauce ..... Was nice though , very filling .

We used to store fresh frozen KFC chicken pieces in our deep freezer where i used to work.

It was supplied by a well know chicken processor here in Australia, if my memory serves me right it was Ingham's. So I assume that this would apply to the UK, Us etc.

We used to liberate a box every now and then, and take into the Chinese takeaway shop next door and he used to cook up a good feed for our workers. Plus he got to keep the rest of the box. :D

I was under the impression that KFC was pressure cooked.

They are pressure fried, e.g. deep fat fried in a pressure cooker. This results in stopping the steam leaving hence stopping the chicken drying out as they are fried.

(Don't try this at home, as without the correct setup you can get boiling fat hitting the ceiling and everyone nearby.)

We do not have a pressure cooker, as they are the most unsafe kitchen appliance to have in a kitchen.

To many people have had severe burns / scalds from them blowing up here in Australia, even the electric variety have had a recall by the manufacturers for being dangerous.
