A couple of weeks ago I was diagnosed with T2D, the doctor gave me a script for Metformin because my mobility is so poor that diet alone is unlikely to reverse the syptoms significantly and the advice to eat more complex carbs in my diet, things like when having a jacket spud to eat it more wholly rather than mash up the potato before eating, eat more oats, wholemeal etc. I was also given a phone number to ring for the DESMOND day course where we would learn more about what to eat and warned that there was a massive waiting list for said course. I have a young family to feed and so want to buy stuff that we can all eat together rather than doing different dishes for me. Today in the shop I was faced with two types of rice but with different info and wonder if I post up the nutritional info here whether someone would help me work out which I should buy or which is best and why please?
