Lantus Inconclusive Study Reveals Possible Link with Cancer

You know, even if it doesn't cause cancer it's still a lemon. Someone should do a study into it's efficacy in type 1 patients when used as part of MDI, and set against a group using Levemir.
 
Well Cugila, it does say I have been put off posting on here and that is what I intend to do, refrain from posting and refrain from getting into a heated discussion with anyone. So do not intend to name the person, but to me it appeared chirlish and childish

as I was one of the ones that originally responded (my snap to Ken was because he posted whilst I was composing my reply,) I'll explain my reply if it helps.
I also said not to panic. I did this because the evidence a is very far from clear and the research only included a very specific type of type 2 on monotherapy anyway.
Thats why I took time to find and give original sources of information so people could read it and hopefully be reassured that there is no evidence of Lantus causing cancer..

Ken, with respect, you are coming over as being a bit 'fighty' on this topic; which may be just the nuances of the written word because you never normally strike me as that. Or indeed strike me at all... :? .

Welshbunny; up and at 'em, it's good to read this forum but it's much more fun and useful to get involved. I hope you do post again, I don't really think anyone was having a go.

And for what's its worth; Emma I thought this was a great post. I've recently come off Lantus as it just stopped being much good for me and so this further backs up my decision.

Blessed are the peacemakers eh? And if you don't agree I'll see you outside.. :twisted:

With all due respect to all involved it is this forum's job to try and give an all round picture of the topics that are being discussed.Emma gave one side and Ken gave the other.It is then up to members to review all the info and make up their own minds.This is why this part of the forum is called 'discussions' so that topics can be discussed.To discuss something you need as much info as possible!!!

The only fight I have is to make sure that ALL sides of a story are told, not just a one sided view. I make no apologies for that. I shall continue to challenge and ask questions when I think it is needed. As far as I am concerned the information is of benefit to us all.
