Yeah my bloods always rise as soon as novorapid wears off. After reading things on here I feel maybe splitting it would help me massively.I have just had my dose split into 2 doses 12 hours apart 7am 7pm by my diabetes nurse so I would think you could take it am instead - is there a particular reason you want to do this?
Hope it does help for you. I'm on 38 units of lantusThey're hoping this will stabilise mine better. I'm on smallish doses 6 lantus now split 3 & 3 so will be interested to see how things go.
Hi @Books1Let us know if it works better as a split dose. A lot of this seems to be try it and see which still feels odd!
Yeah it seems as though my lantus doesn't last anywhere near long enough through the day. So hopefully if I take half tonight and half in the morning I may get a better result. Because as soon as my novorapid wears off I'm getting highs again@Kieron10 . Before I started splitting my lantus injections I spent a while injecting in the morning. Biggest issue for me was high BS readings on rising, which I put down to the lantus not lasting 24hrs in my system.
