Anything healthy!
Would 100 units of lantus a day be considered too much to take?

Just edited to say this was what my mother was taking last year and her bloods were good. Her consultant said that she was taking too much insulin and changed her to Humilin m3. Since using that her hba1c has gone up and she’s having pretty high readings, her breakfast reading this morning was 14. She doesn’t like being on this insulin at all.

Cold weather, angry people, queues,
As Nicola has said each person is different and will require a insulin dose that suits them but having said that I would be interested to find out how different we are , I personally take 17 units of Basel a day , how about others ?

Mountain out of mole hill makers ,queues , crowds , shopping on a Saturday hmm just shopping I guess no matter what day it is
i use to use Lantus was on 24 units once a day , then was changed to Levimir , same amount 24 units but taken in 2 doses of 12am and pm however due to different requirements I’m now on 14 units am and 7 pm . I suppose it just an indication how things can vary with the same persons let alone different individuals

If you are going hypo all the time or having to fight them off a lot of the time then you need to talk to you doctor/DN about it as it may need reducing, if you're not then no its not too much.

As said everyone is different, so you cannot base it on what anyone else takes
